The 24/25 Committee
Executive Committee
President - Isabella Soremi
As President, it is my responsibility to lead the society, overseeing the delivery of quality service to our members and managing the various divisions of our ACS. My vision is to continue building upon the unique ACS sense of community, providing inclusive and entertaining events, devoted welfare sessions, diverse career-focused sessions and everything in between. As a society, we are dedicated to increasing the access of African and Caribbean students into higher education and will be expanding our outreach to the Midlands and further North, focusing on demystifying Oxford to prospective students. Above all, I am dedicated to the progression of all our current, prospective, and past African and Caribbean students.

I have the further responsibility to sit on the Race Equality Task force to engage in conversations on racial diversity with wider university. I can’t wait to help inspire, empower, and showcase the incredible culture we add to the Oxford student experience!

Welfare Officers
Academic and social life at Oxford can be at times difficult, with added pressures that come with coming from a black or ethnic minority background. The welfare team is the support system of our society, offering endless help, advice, and support to our members to ensure nobody has to endure these pressures alone. Part of this involves welfare events designed to allow members to relax, feel seen, and connect with each other on meaningful levels.
