Sustainability at Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank has a modern approach to sustainability, recognising its increasing importance in the global financial landscape. Hence, it has committed to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance considerations into its operations, investments and lending practices. The firm’s four “sustainability pillars” include:

● sustainable finance

● thought leadership and stakeholder engagement

As a part of this commitment, factors such as climate and environmental risk are incorporated into the firm’s business and investment strategies.

EDI at Deutsche Bank

The firm also builds its core on foundations of a belief in the importance of diversity and inclusion, and this helps to form their Global Hausbank ambitions. Such foundations are manifested on four different fronts:

● gender equality

● ethnic diversity and inclusion

● disability inclusion

● LGBTQ+ inclusion

Deutsche Bank aims to ensure that employees feel a sense of belonging, and all teams have different skills, backgrounds and experiences. Their ATLAS programme for women had a 100% success rate of alumni moving into new and more senior roles including onto the Management Board, and from 2025 the firm will also be partnered with the Oxford Afro-Caribbean Society.
